What is the BSFZ?
The Certification Agency for Research Allowances (BSFZ) is a central authority within the framework of the Research Allowance Act (FZulG). On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), it checks whether a company’s research and development (FuE) activities meet the requirements for tax-based research funding. The certificate is therefore a prerequisite for the granting of the tax-based research allowance.
The BSFZ seal is awarded to companies that demonstrably carry out innovative research and development projects.
The seal certifies

- an active contribution to securing the future through innovation.
