One of L & M's core competences is the consolidation and management of heterogeneous printer and multifunctional fleets. As the central backend for controlling this infrastructure, L & M integrates the Genius Server. This „enterprise content management hub“ enables the implementation of secure, cross-location Pull printing. This prevents confidential documents from falling into the wrong hands and reduces the amount of printing - a direct contribution to data security (GDPR-compliant) and the fulfilment of ecological goals. In addition, L & M utilises the granular Accounting functions of the Genius Server to provide customers with a transparent, User- and device-related cost centre allocation and to fully control process costs.

A typical use case is the automation of incoming invoice processing. A paper-based document is processed via the Genius MFP-surface is digitally recorded. Print jobs are sent from laptops or PCs via HTTPS upload encrypted; the print job itself remains locally on the user's PC, while only the metadata is sent to the central Genius server. This architecture eliminates the need for local print servers in branch offices, minimises the WAN load and guarantees maximum security for mobile and decentralised workstations.
